I suppose many of my paintings will have inspiring elements such as this girl sitting on the beach six feet away from the guy to her right (and probably another to her left). Just imagine.

Original. Crystal Pier is located in Pacific Beach. Every local knows
about this pier because you can literally rent a New England-styled
cabin and sleep over the ocean. This is not a spontaneous decision, you
have to book months in advance. I had a stressful (but fun) career in
Los Angeles and decided to keep my summer vacation easy. Five days of
sleeping out on the balcony was better than a trip to the Moon.

Original. Navy pilot's personal photograph taken 4 days before Honorable Discharge and was great inspiration for an oil painting. Brian's unassuming personality was in sharp contrast when I asked, "what did you do?" He responded "land jets on aircraft carriers." This painting posted on D-Day's 75th Anniversary. The shoe fits.
