Original. Ocean Beach Pier in California is the pelican hangout. However, the pelican above is no ordinary beach bum. This lucky pelican hails from the Panama Canal at Miraflores Locks on the Pacific side. Peruvian Pelicans should be further South, well, according to Wikipedia. They are distinctive with their white cap and neck stripe. My painting was inspired from a photograph by a dear friends' recent travels. Thank you, Rod.
