If you have ever walked into the surf, or climbed the Eiffel Tower or stood on the shore at night watching fireworks over the ocean, sometimes you hear the overture to Pirates of the Carribean or 2001. Well, a few weeks back, Southern California enjoyed king tides. These are 7' waves and only the best took 'em on.

Original. Live by the beach. Paint the beach. My new catch phrase for 2014. A 180* view of the Pacific literally is the morning alarm clock. The ocean never looks the same, day to day.
