Painting is a great job, to be sure. As much as I would like to stand and paint into a canvas and make lovely brush strokes, the majority of the time I am looking at a painting for hours and hours that looks like the 2nd progression photograph. I often hear myself saying "exactly when did I promise to deliver?!!" But clearly, the pros outweigh the cons and a solid drawing is the foundation to "it will turn out OK!"
