Original.  Oil on masonite (hardboard).  Inspired  with this young girls plight, I first drew her portrait in charcoal, just the head and shoulder (and it is also available) but I will post at a separate time.  She is a turn-of-the-century immigrant and the setting is San Francisco.  I am very fond of this painting and it has been an NFS for years but it is time for someone new to enjoy.

Original. Charcoal pencil on Strathmore paper.  Inspiration for this stunning North American Indian drawing was from the brilliant 20th century photographer, Edward Curtis.  The tribes were a vanishing race so with the help of a $75K grant from J.P. Morgan, Curtis photographed the tribes and amassed a huge library of their photos immortalizing this culture.  This particular man, De Gizzeh-Rolling, was photographed in 1906 by Curtis.  It was taken after the American government put him on the Reservation.  The look of pride remains but most likely, resignation.  If you are a collector of Southwest Art, this is for you !  Framed and wired and ready to hang in your living room.  I ship with the assurance of FEDEX.
